Spacious. Fresh Coffee. Self-catering kitchen. Netflix. The host was lovely and spoke very good English. Her husband was very poorly but she still made me breakfast at 7am. So kind. It’s a beautiful place.

We loved it here as it was like a mini apartment with a kitchen,bathroom and bedroom. There was a separate entrance and a door with access to the lovely garden next to a canal. The breakfast was delivered on a tray in the morning and was excellent. Our bikes were stored in a secure garage.

The place was tidy and clean and the mattress was very comfortable. We also enjoyed the garden while having our breakfast. Our hosts were very nice and welcoming. We recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a place to stay in Medemblik.

We did not remember the payment was not automatically withdrawn by booking on our card. We had to pay on the spot which was unusual for us (but this is our mistake for not checking that before). Fortunately, our hosts were well equipped and we were able to pay by card (because we did not have cash).

My boyfriend and I were on a cycling holiday and we picked this location as our first stop. The annex was just to the side of their main property and was a decent size for the two of us. I was concerned we would be late and kept in contact with the hosts to let them know when we would arrive, which they were OK with. The hosts accommodated storing our bikes safely and breakfast the next day was more than enough to set us up for a long day on the bikes. Places to eat in the evening were just a short walk away and some were open until late.

We had a long day of cycling the next day and we wanted to set off early, we asked for breakfast for 8/8.30am, but our breakfast didn't arrive until 8.30-9.00am so we didn't get to set off until after 9am. It wasn't a major issue but it meant we left later than planned. Apart from that, everything else was great.
