Very friendly owners, thoughtful with high attention to details but you won’t feel overwhelmed by it. Really comfortable and nicely arranged and designed interiors and exterior, that you would like to relax in. Bathtub in the bedroom is a brilliant idea!

An enchanted bubble in the middle of the Irish countryside. The landscapes are breathtaking, ideal for green nature lovers. The cosy lodge is beautifully and tastefully decorated. Best of all the hosts are absolutely lovely and dedicated. We'll be back for sure!

The room and house were spotless clean. Breakfast was lovely. Good variety and freshly cooked. Located on the hook peninsula ideal for us as we were visiting some friends in arthurstown and was close to lots of local attractions. In a lovely quiet rural area. Martin and Enda were very kind and made us feel very welcome.

One minor thing was that the tv didn’t have any tv channels just Netflix. Just our preference would have been to watch some of the sport that was on tv for the weekend but that was just us. Others may prefer Netflix.

Matin and Enda made us feel so welcome, they were both very attentive and made an excellent breakfast. The room was spotlessly clean and a very comfortable bed. Great having Netfilx in the evening after a full day of exploring the area. We where only 5 minute drive away from two beautiful beaches. The ferry to Waterford was only a short drive away. Would not hesitate on returning or recommending to anyone.

It was a lovely stay at Thistledown Lodge. Hosts are amazing. The peninsula is beautiful and peaceful. The lodge is SO cozy! We spent the weekend there and it was perfect!
