Il Torrione

This place is so relaxing! Beautiful rooms, garden with a view of the lake. The torre had an awesome view of the lake and towards Montepulciano. Monica is the best!! This is my most favorite place to stay in Castiglione del Lago

Let me think about this.... nothing comes to mind. Il Torrione thought of everything.

Beautiful spot and lovely garden

The property is beautiful with an unbelievable view of the lake. The grounds are well maintained. Our room was comfortable and beautifully decorated. Monica is a fantastic host. She is very kind and very thoughtful. We spent our 14 year anniversary and we were welcomed with a beautiful heart shape design made from rose petals on our bed. She made our anniversary very special.

There is nothing we didn’t like about Il Torrione. In fact, we liked it so much we extended our stay.

We got a room upgrade for free. Breakfast was elaborate and good. Took a beer from the fridge but didn’t have to pay for it. Great garden and views on the lake.

Parking around the place could be confusing.

An easy 20-25 minute walk from the station. All old town in 10minute walkable distance. Garden really pretty and peaceful. Room clean and kind of fancy, bathroom is ace. Heating, seats, spacious, quiet, mirrors. Host is so lovely.

The town itself is tiny and pretty dead. The Christmas lights and village are underwhelming. But the room and garden are great :D

Monica was an absolutely beautiful welcoming host! She was always quick to respond to messages/queries. It was a great novelty staying in the walls of the village of Castiglione but having a stunning garden with views of sunset and sunrise from on top of a turret was so spectacular. My 8yo loved running around smelling all the roses. It was so nice to soak up the sun with a view of the lake and surrounding countryside while eating breakfast (which was delicious and substantial). Monica generously offered an adjoining room for us when my husband was a last minute addition. The rooms were clean with a modern bathroom. It was easy access to free parking (Monica will let you know where) and it was close to everything - admittedly the village is tiny but it was peaceful and quiet being away from the main area.

Nothing. It was perfect.

Everything, the pictures don't do it justice,you are staying in the castle grounds ,amazing views,spotlessly clean and Everything you need for a great stay,breakfast as well inside or out in the garden ...simply amazing and restaurants etc within a mins walk
