"Great accommodation. Not cheap. But worth it just."

Seemed fairly new. Good size. Very clean.

Gravel area outside needed more upkeep and let the site down. Bit too much gravel and not grass like you expect.

"Great site and location."

7.0

The site is situated between Looe and Polperro on a hill. This means that it's not only in a good location, but there are great views across the countryside. The site is immaculate and very quiet. The mobiles are spaced apart very well so everyone has privacy. Staff very friendly and helpful.

As always in mobile homes, there are no hooks and this mobile was no exception. Not sure why this is but there was nowhere to hang our coats. The hallway leading to bedrooms was wide enough to accommodate both coat hooks and a shelf unit for shoes but had neither. Luckily I had brought over the door hooks for our coats but the shoes accumulated by the fridge door. There were also no hooks in the kitchen to hang tea towels and hand towels on - simple to resolve but not been thought about. Before we left, my mum had dropped her watch down the back of her bedside cupboard and on retrieving it, discovered some old chips so clearly the mobile had not been cleaned thoroughly prior to our arrival. In the 3rd twin room there was no bedside cupboard, and only a main light with one switch by the door. This meant when I was in bed, I had to get up to turn the light off after reading. In addition, the two plug sockets in this room were in odd places - one was high up on the wall near the top of the wardrobe, and the other above the radiator. No shelves, so charging a phone was a challenge in this room. The two beds in this room had different mattresses - one was very springy and soft, the other hard. All the pillows were cheap and I didn't sleep well the entire week due to the poor quality pillows. The most disturbing aspect of the mobile is the oven. There is a small gap at the top of the oven door ('normal' Reception told us!) which lets out about 40% of the heat of the oven. This makes baking or roasting anything a challenge, but in addition, the heat that escapes out of the oven heats up the oven door handle to such an extent you can't open it without an oven glove. This is not normal! There are no warning signs about this so this is a potential health and safety risk with the risk of somebody seriously burning their hand. I liked the mobile but whoever designs them and furnishes them needs to live in them for a week to gauge what is needed.

"Looe Coastal Retreat"

9.0

Lovely quiet location, very clean.

Advertised as having a hot tub, but misleading as only on Deluxe models (in small print at bottom of listing) Unable to have a shower the first evening as water scalding hot,no hot water at all the following morning, fault on boiler. But Hayley (housekeeping manager) sorted it straight away and very helpful.

The lodge was extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped. The site was very well maintained and extremely peaceful, ideal for a relaxing break. The location ideal for exploring the area especially Looe and Polperro.

Weather was amazing, a good location to explore many other areas of SE Cornwall. Caravan was clean and site was tidy and quiet.

We thought that the late check in time and early check out time needs to be addressed, check in at 4pm is late for people to get settled in and organised for the evening, 3 pm is more acceptable. Check out at 10 am is early for most, we like a relaxed end to our holiday and to get out before 10 am is not conducive to this, most other places manage a 3 pm check in and 11 am check out with no problem. The Welcome pack was not at all as expected. I was sort of thinking...... cornish cream tea (scones, clotted cream and jam) with Cornish cider or processo. (have had this in other places) We got a tiny mini washing up liquid bottle, a dishcloth, a scourer, 2 bin bags and 2 dish washing pods. (All of which I had packed) Disappointed! Unfortunately we were also bitterly disappointed that we did not have a hot tub as we thought we had from the details on Booking.com. When I doubled checked it is apparently only Lime Shore Deluxe that has the hot tub not Lime Shore???? I Googled the website for the site and it is clear on their, however was not clear to me hence the disappointment. So all in all, I do not think this was particularly good value for money for the time of year with no hot tub available to us.
