The Gardens

The quiet well-treed countryside is very appealing, as was the flint-walled lodging with a modern interior supplied with all needed kitchen supplies as well as excellent internet service. The three rare-breed Golden Guernsey goats are a nice touch, and the owner kindly supplied me with eggs from her hens.

There was nothing that I didn't like. The countryside is beautiful, and the forestry office a short walk away was very helpful with information about the natural environment at the head of trails along the River Little Ouse and through the forest.

Loved everything

Great self catering studio flat in cottage, dog friendly, forest and riverside walks on doorstep. Free parking at nearby Brandon Station for trains to Ely, Cambridge and Norwich. Friendly and helpful owner.

Great location in a small village in Thetford Forest where I could access multiple bike trailheads. Every day I could easily ride out to explore the forest. Then there was easy access to a large Sainsburys to cook meals in the good-sized kitchenette. Great shower, especially after a long & muddy bike ride. The owner is onsite and very friendly. Fantastic week off in the forest!

We had a peaceful break and weather was fantastic Nice to sit out to watch the farm animals And go for lovely walks by the river we were able to visit Brandon thetford and bury St Edmunds. Lovely host who greeted us gave us some eggs for breakfast and left chocolates in our room just perfect
