First off, I loved the simplicity of “check in”. All I had to do was download an app that helped me unlock the doors. That was literally it. The room was extremely nice, and the bed was very, very comfortable. The tv was very new and big. The only negatives I have are that the shower handle was kinda of broken, but I still managed to turn on and off the shower. There was also no AC control (at least that I could find), but the room was cool and comfortable anyways. Just wish there was a fan instead. Honestly, those are completely minor complaints. The Capital Inn was a great find, and I will definitely look to stay there again in the near future.

Very clean and nice place to stay. Mattresses are very firm and we struggled to sleep well. Walls are thin. But Nadia was very helpful and accommodating.

“Boarding house “ is the term that comes to mind ( after seeing the place in person ) had the facility been packed I would have felt a lack of privacy… as it turned out ,this was not an issue. Lovely building , very clean, great location for the things we wanted to do. Overall good experience but unlikely to rebook.

Very tranquil & beautiful property. The room was cozy & very clean. Snacks, pastries,& coffee are put out for your choosing. FSU weekend trip & this place is in a quiet area, what’s needed after running around all day. Highly recommended for couples.

We travel pretty often to Tallahassee from the Orlando area to visit our son and his girlfriend. We've stayed in several of the chain motels and for this stay our usual places were booked or had higher rates (we were there the week before classes began as FSU). So as I looked further into other places to try I came across The Capitol Inn. We loved the common area's comfortable seating and atmosphere. It was a perfect meeting place for the four of us to catch up with each other before going out to our favorite restaurant. The location is great, close to everything. Although this is NOT a B&B, there were baskets of snacks, breakfast pastries, and the makings for coffee in the kitchen. I am an early riser so I really enjoyed being able to be up before everyone else (there was only one other couple staying in the inn) and having the ability to make a pot of coffee without disturbing anyone. I then lazed with a comfy chair as I enjoyed my coffee in the quiet living room.

The Inn's parking lot is well lit at night which made us feel very secure. But the draperies in our room (the Sarasota) are not light blocking so the room was pretty bright at night.

We love this place. Should advertise that Lafayette park is directly across the street for a nice morning workout.
