Safety and habitability were major issues. We had no heat or power for 6 hours in sub zero weather. Per NY Law 235b the unit was uninhabitable. The property is unstaffed and management instructed me to enter a restricted area to repair a commercial breaker panel myself. Does the Dept of Health allow a hotel to require guests to perform hazardous electrical maintenance in lieu of providing professional repairs during a life safety crisis? We also received the wrong entry codes upon arrival and were stranded outside in the cold with three children for 90 minutes. Management admitted to these failures but refused a refund. I have filed a formal complaint with the NY Attorney General Consumer Frauds Bureau. Intake Number 1.1176638932.
