Tahquitz Pines Retreat

Tahquitz Pines Retreat was a great experience overall. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, with plenty to do on-site. It’s a clean, quiet place that really lets you relax and enjoy the surroundings. The fire pits were a highlight—perfect for winding down in the evening. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the entire area is just stunning. Definitely a solid choice if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway.

The Peak Restaurant was a disappointing experience. The staff came across as rude and unprofessional, which set a negative tone from the start. We ordered dessert to go, and it took about 45 minutes, which is excessive for something that should be quick. When we finally received it, the fruit garnish was clearly old and browning. The overall quality did not match the price at all. For what you’re paying, this place falls short. It feels overpriced and relies too much on convenience rather than delivering a good experience.

Setting was beautiful, the room was also perfect - great size and lovely decor. We went to Taco Tuesday which was a fun evening - great to have live music. Food was delicious and staff were friendly.

The noise - we were on the bottom floor - it sounded like a herd of elephants were above us. Unfortunately one of the nights the guests were up til 2 am. Second night we could hear our neighbors talking and they were not being loud. Also another set of guests upstairs - the soundproofing needs work!

Peace and quiet, wooded areas and a nice restaurant on site.

Close to hike trails and nature center.

Property beautiful, location excellent

We love it , the only problem was , we stay on a single room and you can hear everything! Talking , laughing, flashing, shower :( everything

brunch options were delicious. especially the brioche french toast.
