The staff super friendly make sure we were good with everything check in was smooth the rooms are very comfortable

Only this I wish was they did was breakfast an I wish they had a pool .only bone I had to pick I had someone els hair In the shower an there was some very small ants coming for the snacks I had on the counter other than that not a bad at all

The locations was very convenient! The property was very clean and had a clean area around the property! The room was very clean as well. The internet connective was chef’s kiss! The room was nice we were right above the lobby so I didn’t have to worry about my toddlers running or playing too loud!! We still kept the running/stomping to a minimum! We had the king suite and for the price this was a great deal. I loved that the air conditioning was separate for each room as well! The suite is very spacious and this stay was pleasant!

I understand why they may not serve breakfast but that would’ve been a plus!

Absolutely nothing. Our experience was the absolute worst.

DO NOT STAY HERE - We had a very disappointing experience at Candlewood Suites Dothan. We arrived on a Saturday night at 11:20pm with a confirmed reservation, ready to check in and go to sleep after a long day. There was a sign at the front desk stating staff were “assisting another guest.” We waited. Twenty minutes passed. No one returned. We checked the restrooms. We knocked on employee-only doors. We walked the hallways calling out for assistance. Nothing. My partner even drove around the building to see if someone was outside. No staff were visible anywhere. We called the hotel multiple times. No answer. We texted the sales director (understanding it was late and not expecting a response). After 36 minutes of waiting with luggage in hand and no employee in sight, we left and checked into another hotel. At 9:00am the next morning, we called to address the situation and were told we were being charged $175. When we explained calmly that no one was present to check us in for over 30 minutes, the employee (Makayla) who answered simply said “they were assisting another guest” and that we “just had to wait.” When we expressed that waiting over 30 minutes with no staff visible was unacceptable, that at that point it seemed possible that staff had left, and that we should not be charged, she responded with “OK, You have a nice day” and hung up. There was no apology. No attempt to resolve the issue. No ownership. Being unavailable at the front desk for over half an hour at 11:20pm is unacceptable for a hotel. Charging a guest under those circumstances is even worse. Hanging up on a customer trying to resolve it is inexcusable. We expect the charge to be reversed.
