Valley Inn and Suites

The location was excellent since we were attending a conference at the French Lick hotel. There are restaurants within walking distance and it is close to area attractions. The staff was excellent and very responsive. The room was comfortable and as expected.

The one thing we did not like was the cleanliness of the floors. My daughter's socks were black after walking around the room for a short time. This could easily be remedied with a deep floor cleaning.

I was impressed with the quality of the room, especially that it was quiet despite facing a state highway. The amenities were what I expected from a limited-service hotel and the bed was very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was out of this world, and the linen quality was better than just acceptable. The hotel is within walking distance of both Resort hotels and the Casino although one must be a serious walker to get to West Baden. Downtown French Lick is also walkable as is a grocery store. I'm unable to rate the staff because I had no interaction with any of them although it's clear that the housekeepers are very attentive to their jobs.

The hotel goes out of their way to communicate via text and email, sometimes to a fault as getting the same text more than twice a day is a bit annoying. Otherwise, nothing.

I miss having a box of tissues and an outlet to charge my stuff on the bedside table. I couldn’t figure out how to turn the shower on even though I tried so took a bath.
