Wyndham DFW Airport

Flight out of Dallas was cancelled and everyone scrambling to find a hotel. The Wyndham DFW was one of the few hotels not price gauging and capitalizing on other’s desperation. The free shuttle was nice and the drivers hustled to keep coming back to get all the people waiting in the cold. The esthetics were great and my kids would have been in heaven with how “fancy” it looks, and fun with balconies and a pool, ping pong, oversized chess. The rooms were clean and seemed updated. The bed and pillow was extremely comfortable. Only complaint is the hallways seemed a little tight and dark, as they use motion sensor lighting. Front desk was friendly and helpful. There is a bar and restaurant in the building which is convenient for couples, parents, kids etc. King non smoking room for $125 when others were charging $200-600 this close to the airport. I would highly recommend this hotel!

About 2 hours into the stay and theres just some things that are unacceptable, these showers...WHY IS THE SHOWER SHELF NEXT TO THE HEAD ?! You can't shower without elbowing it eveytime you move, the shower head is super low and the pull handle is so bad they have to put directions on how to use it (also doesnt fully work) The "restaurant" also is open conveniently late but its not really a restaurant. This whole place is lipstick on a pig, the longer you stay the more things you notice that is cheap and whoever set up things cut corners and didn't think things through. Updating to 1 star after finding hair on the towels and bed, this place is not worth 150

Great hotel close to DFW. Check-in was easy and a little early, which was nice. Room was spacious with a couch, desk area, and coffee/tea station. We had to find a hotel because our flight was cancelled so we chose Wyndham because of their proximity to the airport and the available shuttle. Supposedly their shuttle runs 24/7 and the maximum wait would only be 20 minutes. Well I finally called the hotel after waiting to be picked up at the airport for 40 minutes and they said it would just be a few more minutes. Thirty five minutes later it finally came. So we waited a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes which was miserable in the 27 degree weather! I don’t know what the hold up was but it is simply not okay to have your guests wait outside for so long in freezing weather!

Rooms are fine. The bathrooms and showers are somewhat old fashioned.

Breakfast stops at 9.30 am. We arrived at 0.15 am and there was no food we could get. We waited almost 1h for the shuttle to the airport at terminal 3.
