"Mysig och otroligt fin campingstuga."

Väldigt fin stuga och poolområde. Mysigt på området och huset där lobbyn var. Väldig go och serviceinriktad personal.

Det framgick inte på booking att det var en liten camping, inte ett hotell. Omgivningarna runt ”hotellområdet” var inte som på bilderna alls, det gick absolut inte bada i floden. Dessutom låg området granne med ett lite skumt område vilket var lite läskigt på natten.

"I highly recommend staying at Melrose!"

My experience at Melrose saved a recent trip my husband and I took to Texas. It was supposed to be a warm getaway...until an ice storm hit! The staff at Melrose were exceptional, checking in on us and making sure we were ok. Every single person I interacted with there was a pleasure to talk with. Additionally, the room was nice and snug for 2 people to share. The bed and linens were incredibly comfortable, and the outdoor shower was a bonus (though only my husband got to use it prior to storm prep). The location was really conveniently located to get around the area. We will be looking to come back in the spring/summer to take full advantage of this property and what San Marcos has to offer.

Just an fyi, the bathroom door in the casitas is a sliding barn door. Ours kept sliding open due to being not quite level. Not a problem for us though as we just used a shoe to keep it from opening.

"Cool place for short stay"

It's a cool idea - a collection of small cabins just outside of the city.

The cabins are trailers and felt cheap. The tile in bathroom and shower floor had mildew around the perimeter of every tile and looked gross. Virtually no hot water bc the shower head is too high volume. No room in bathroom for toiletries etc.

So cute so fun, was a little sketchy at first, but the second you enter the room it’s absolutely beautiful I can’t imagine how fun it is during summer!

"Adorable casita-like getaway space with pool, river views, and gracious hosts"

Cute, clean, safe, snacks were great (charcuterie and mimosas), pool area very cute, river views, owners extremely responsive and helpful

Slightly pricier but it made up for that in charm and hospitality
