This is an impeccably clean, quite property. Sonar Bangla Guest House was close to shops, markets and restaurants. Upon check-in there was problem with the guest wi-fi and we notified management. The manager genuinely seemed concerned, tried to connect his own device and then said he'd contact the internet provider right away. The problem was promptly rectified and we had very fast, reliable wi-fi for the rest of our stay. As I mentioned earlier, this is a very well-run guest house - management and staff here are simply the best and the pride they take is quite easy to see. After two months of travel throughout much of India, Sonar Bangla Guest House was a lovely surprise. We'd certainly book another stay here. Room was spotless and everything was in excellent repair. Quiet room on side of building. Happy to find a room which looked as good as photos on booking's website! Dental kit, comb, water, tea, coffee, creamer, sugar and electric kettle were included. Coffee/tea mugs and drinking glasses included. Flat screen TV/remote with cable/satellite channels worked fine. Plenty of electrical outlets. Two clean bath towels. A large wardrobe with a locking drawer [and keys!], clothes rack and 3 coat hangers - there was even an extra pillow in there! Desk with plenty of space and a bench to sit on. Bedside table with telephone. The door to the room is heavy and of good quality with a proper dead-bolt and a slide lock mechanism on the inside. The room also had a window which opened. Air-conditioner worked well. Rubbish bin provided in the room and one in the bathroom also. Bed was firm for her but quite comfortable for me [personal preferences]. Sheets were very clean with no holes/obvious wear. Our marble-tiled bathroom was also very clean. The geyser worked properly. The toilet and the sink didn't leak water. The bathroom also featured a working exhaust fan and a window.

Beware of this property. They didn’t provide us the room upon arrival and cancelled the booking when we arrived
