The Habitat Suites-Walkable distance to Guruvayoor temple

I stayed at the Guruvayoor Habitat Suite for two days, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff at the reception were warm, welcoming, and extremely helpful. They greeted us with a welcome drink and made us feel truly valued with their respectful and polite service. I was given a Super Deluxe Room with a beautiful corner view overlooking the temple and railway station. The property,is very well maintained and exceptionally clean. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the Guruvayoor Temple, with an autorickshaw (tuk tuk) and taxi stand right in front. The reception can also help arrange transportation if needed. The Wi-Fi was fast, the TV and all amenities were in great condition. Overall, a highly recommended stay — comfortable, convenient, and truly hospitable!

Disappointing Check-In Experience and Poor Cleanliness Standards Our visit to the hotel for Lord Krishna’s pilgrimage was unfortunately disappointing. The check-in process was slow and disorganized. The staff initially brought up the wrong reservation under a different customer’s name. After that was sorted, I provided my U.S. driver’s license as a form of ID, but they insisted on seeing a visa. As an Indian citizen, I found this confusing—what would have made more sense is simply asking if we were Indian citizens and requesting a passport copy if needed. We had booked two family rooms with two bedrooms each. Upon arrival, we found that the bed linens in both rooms were stained and clearly not clean. We raised this concern multiple times, and although the staff replaced the linens, each new set also had visible stains. When I escalated the issue to the manager, he blamed the laundry vendor. Regardless of the reason, this level of cleanliness was unacceptable and disrupted the comfort of our stay. The towels also had dirty marks, and basic room amenities like conditioner were not provided—we were told they don’t carry it at all. Due to the persistent quality issues and lack of resolution, I decided to check out early instead of extending our stay. Given the spiritual purpose of our visit, we had hoped for a peaceful and pleasant experience. Unfortunately, the hotel's service and cleanliness standards fell short.

The staff and management are very professional and deserve appreciation.The front office to down the supporting staff are very cordial and well trained. Every call was immediately attended. Location is good for every one.Ample parking space is seen available including vallet parking facility . Break fast could have been better, still good.

The messages sent post booking is to be dispensed immediately especially to those booked through well managed platforms like Booking.com. Once you take booking saying that there is no pre payment needed , and asking for payment after booking is not fair in any manner. This will create unnecessary confusion about the status of booking etc which should be avoided. In real terms, they have n't asked for payment even at the time of check in and only taken at the time of check out.They even gave a upgrade for us. So pl.take this as an advice to dispense with unnecessary post booking insistence for advance payment. .
