Rockport Harbor Hotel

Close to the Harbor with a great view. The staff was friendly and the room was exceptional. It was very clean.

It was a little confusing how to get to the lobby from the parking lot.

The hotel was fantastic. Every staff member was so kind, helpful, and seemed to genuinely enjoy their job. The only downside is there is no room service or spa. Usually this nice of a hotel would have both of these.

This hotel is apparently just two years old so everything is shiny new. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is lovely. Two excellent restaurants next door. Town is very small so you will need to drive to other activities if you stay more than two days. Very highly recommend.

This property was magnificent. We rented the king suite overlooking the harbor. The suite had a great balcony dbl sided FP in the suite, beautiful bathroom with heated floor. There is a restaurant on-site as well as a bar. The staff were warm and friendly and very helpful. Rockport may be going through a renovation in the town, not much shopping but Camden and Rockland are just 5 mins down the road. Overall, a beautiful hotel and location,

Our room was very spacious with 2 balconies. It was sparkling clean. We had a lovely dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. It was not pretentious and the food and service were very good.

This is a difficult review to write. Our room was excellent, and even the street view was pleasant. We really did not test what the hotel could do since we only stayed one night. The price was truly shocking, and the hotel does not function as a 5-star destination but we were totally satisfied with the accommodations. On the other hand, the Oak Room (their less upscale restaurant) was enormously disappointing, not at all what one expects at a hotel charging this room rate. We had drinks the night we arrived, and while our choices were not complicated, we found them short on flavor and possibly on alcohol. The bar is pretty amateurish, the menu was limited for light eats and what we saw come out of the kitchen was uninspiring. Breakfast was no better. It was not nearly at the level of the diners in Portland and up and down the coast. The menu has the usual options (though far fewer than one would get at a diner), but somehow the quality of what we ate (a muffin, coffee, a benedict option) were all nothing we would ever have sought out. This hotel certainly has potential, but it has a long way to go to add to the nice rooms the quality its price point promises.

As with their sister properties in Camden, this hotel is a reliable option for folks traveling with pets. I wouldn't consider this a luxury property, as there is no service to speak of, the restaurant is meh and the rooms have a kind of residence inn vibe, but it's clean, comfortable, and has beautiful views. We stayed in a suite facing the harbor and enjoyed the peaceful view, watching the boats come in and out. It is a working harbor though, and there are cars and trucks coming and going and an active business behind the hotel that was fairly noisy. The bedroom and separate sitting room were fine, though a bit cramped, and the decor is similar to the other Bay View properties - dark, basic, traditional. If we stay here again, I'd go for a corner suite, as although it was sunny everyday, the room was fairly dark. We ate breakfast in the restaurant and had a few drinks and snacks from the bar, but it is nothing special. We had two fantastic meals at the 18 Central Oyster next door and had ice cream at Freya's every day - I high recommended both of these! If you are traveling with pets and want something close to camden but away from the traffic and bustle, this is a great option.

Beautiful location on the hsrbor

What a wonderful place to stay. Right on the harbor with a large balcony from which to look. Sympathetically modernized. Heated marble floor in the large bathroom. Parking available on site. An elevator from the parking. Delightful breakfast in lovely room. A fireplace with cozy chairs and wraps as part of the bar and lobby. Helpful and gracious staff. We would loved a stayed another night.
