The service - everyone was helpful and friendly

The room was very basic. No amenities- not even a kettle, a phone to the lobby, a glass for toothbrushes and convenient electric sockets. The towels were also small. In sum, no effort to make the guests feel comfortable

We checked into Wylder this August and were greeted by friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. Full disclosure - I've been coming here for many, many years under the previous owners and it's delightful to see the older buildings come back to life! We received a complimentary bottle of wine and smores kit upon check-in. The pool was wonderful and Wylder could not have ordered up better weather if they tried! There are a few small things that perhaps Wylder could work on - first and foremost the Wi-Fi. As others have said, without cable, its' almost impossible to watch TV as the the Wi-Fi keeps dropping about every ten minutes. So we gave up on that. And lack of storage can also be an issue - with kids and dogs we have resorted to getting out the ironing board as a makeshift dresser, or storing things on the floor. These are small things that I don't want to detract from the overall experience which was relaxing and joyful. See you next year!

Absolute magic. Think next-level glamping. • Axe throwing added just the right challenge and excitement to the night. ⸻ 🧘‍♀️ Day Two: Wellness & Creativity We did it all: • Morning yoga by Mary • IV drip bar for a wellness boost • Sip & paint session • Relaxing pool time under the sun The amazing Maura Zhang added so much heart to every wellness experience. ⸻ 🥗 Dining & Custom Experiences • Lunch in the yard was a handcrafted, immersive experience that felt like a dream. • Dinner in the Evergreen Gulf backyard, set against a backdrop of majestic mountain views, was another unforgettable moment — a perfect blend of nature and elevated hospitality. • Lunch at Babblers Bakery today was equally fulfilling — fresh, delicious, and comforting in every bite. • Live music both nights kept the energy flowing and connections deep. • We closed with an astrology and target reading session — surreal, grounding, and so memorable. ⸻ 🌱 Sustainability Spotlight Today’s sustainability session with Katie Cardosa was thought-provoking and inspiring. It added a layer of purpose and responsibility to the experience — a reminder of how travel, nature, and sustainability go hand in hand. ⸻ 🌌 The Takeaway This wasn’t just a FAM trip — it was a reconnection with nature, self, and community. Every moment was carefully curated, and every person involved went above and beyond. My husband and I are Hilton Diamond members. The front desk staff and cleaning staff here are very friendly, professional and helpful, but there was no sign/mention of this property being at all affiliated with Hilton. (It is.) We were there on a wedding weekend (not part of the wedding) and still did not feel forgotten, which was nice. I was a bit perplexed by the actual hotel. The pros: You feel like you are not in NY (my husband and I kept thinking, where do we feel we are? Maine? Something not NY!), you can relax with the views and you are close to great off-property restaurants (recommend Chicken Run and Julia's Local). I did not realize before checking in that the "hotel" is made up of a main building and then several separate buildings (not connected to the main) so when booking, please keep that in mind when choosing a room. We stayed in the Evergreen building, which is across the street from the main building, in a non-standard room which is accessed not via a lobby but by ascending a flight of stairs, which were absolutely covered in bugs - think an entymologist's paradise. Had never seen a Daddy Long Legs in my life until this trip. While I get it, we are in the sticks (and I have been to sleepaway camp!), it was alarming to see how many webs and bugs covered the stairwell and hallway, which can only mean that the likelihood of finding these guys in our room was high. (Spoiler alert - we had bug visitors.) Does not seem any extermination or attempt at clearing the bugs goes on. The room itself was odd; as other reviewers said, no dresser and a miniature night stand without plugs or USBs (a major oddity for 2025). The AC is a wall unit which was really loud by default. I am used to sleeping with white noise, but for those who are not, this would be extremely disruptive. No phone in the room even to call the front desk; instead we were to use an app on a tablet to send requests, some of which were not heeded. No coffee maker! (I don't even understand how that's possible) and had to request a refrigerator, for which we were kept on the edges of our seats until the last moment to see if was available. To have a hot drink with tea bags I brought, my husband literally trekked to the main building to get hot water. (The staff was pleasant and helpful; this wasn't their fault.) The bathroom had very little counter space and getting into and out of the shower was not easy with the toilet right there. There was a distinct stench to the water that came out of the shower and sink. The bath towels are like gym towels - tiny. Though the property boasts being new, the signs of wear and tear and just complete lack of punch list process on the room was alarming (pics attached). I am wondering if the vibe would have been different had we stayed in the main building, but considering this was not a standard room for which we paid extra, I was not impressed. We also had to bring our 5 year old daughter along with us (at the last minute) and requested a rollaway, for which we were required to pay $150/day. We have stayed at all sorts of exclusive hotels and have never been charged for that. (We would have p[aid to upgrade to a room with another bed, but due to the wedding that weekend, the hotel was sold out.) The pool was nice (again, at the main building), but we only spotted one lone pool noodle that all the kids took turns using. A basket of toys would have gone a long way. All in all, seems we paid for the time of year and the landscape/vibe, but the state of our accommodations themselves were akin to a budget hotel.

We LOVED staying at Wylder. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable, views were amazing and we really enjoyed the amenities. Highly recommend!

The staff is absolutely incredible and the property has everything you need. We were taken care of the entire time we were there. The grounds are lovely. We would definitely stay here again.

So close to home and a perfect summer vacation. The heated pool was fantastic. Lunch service offered at the pool which was convenient. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the golf course and Windham Mtn. The staff is extremely helpful and goes out of their way. E-bikes available and my husband rode one of those for a while. Low key and a good vibe. Able to walk to a great Italian restaurant and the on site restaurant also good. They have pickleball and lots of activities or you can just chill. Felt like a real old school Catskills vacation even though I live here in the Catskills. A couple of suggestions for older people like me: you have to sync your phone or other device to tv and watch whatever streaming services you subscribe to. But we do not subscribe to any and would prefer having regular tv to watch live. They helped us but it’s difficult. Also, there are beautiful Adirondack chairs on the balcony but no chair cushions and Adirondack chairs are not really comfortable for sitting for old backs, etc.

Excellent facilities - nice mix of hip and family friendly. Staff were polite and friendly although somewhat overwhelmed with it being a July 4th weekend so they did their best in the restaurant and bar.
