Bright Home w/ Fire Pit, Near Back 40 Trail!

Let’s start by saying that it’s a nice place. Recently remodeled little farm house on the edge of Belle Vista. But that is about where it stops. When you turn on the tap water, be prepared for a very strong odor of sulphur/crude. It’s awful. I noticed in our “welcome” email it said it had been remedied. It has not. It’s bad enough that when you shower, it smells up the entire house. The odor does not linger on your person but the water isn’t tolerable to drink. Use the britta pitcher in the fridge. The cleanliness. It’s clear it was not swept or tidied up before we arrived. The counter tops still had dust/small debris on them, the sinks still had something in them, not sure what. There are dead bugs here and there too. I grew up on ranches and I get it, but a simple cleaning before guests would remedy that. On to the creature comforts… there aren’t many. If you forgot your shampoo there was some in one bathroom but not the other. Forget your toothbrush? Cool, no worries, United Airlines has you covered. It’s in the basket. Oh, you’re out of toilet paper, the Save brand TP is under the sink. (Low grit sandpaper lol). Allergies wereIn full bloom, so we used our two tissues in the box sparingly…… I don’t expect a VRBO to have everything I need for a stay, I get it. But the salt and pepper shakers were empty too lol. It’s just the little things, small details, that can make or break these places. On to the next adventure!
