Quaint & Scenic Country Cottage, 3 Mi to New River

I recently attempted to stay here with my family for a weekend and had a very disappointing experience. Despite the property listing indicating that air conditioning was available, there was none when we arrived. With temperatures in the 80s that weekend, the lack of air conditioning made our stay uncomfortable. Upon arrival, we found the door unlocked, raising serious security concerns. Additionally, the house had a strong odor of old animal urine. It was strongest in the family room but you could smell it everywhere. The most alarming issue was discovering a live bed bug. It crawled across my daughter as she was resting on the bed in the back bedroom. I was able to take a picture of it and compare it to photos on the web. It was certainly a bed bug. We immediately contacted management and left the premises. Although a person hired by the owner reportedly found no signs of an infestation, this did not mitigate the distress and inconvenience we experienced. My request for a refund was denied, adding to the overall dissatisfaction with this stay.
