High Tide Inn

I had such a lovely time there. The people are wonderful and helpful, the breakfast popovers are superb, and that view is a real gift. My room was very comfortable.

Wonderful oceanfront property with fire pits, homemade popovers, and stairs to the beach. We stayed in one of the cabins that was steps from the main house. Breakfast is served in a cozy room with a wall of windows facing the ocean. The lawn has fire pits, tables, couches, yard games and green space. Mark, one of the owners, is super personable and makes great popovers. High Tide Inn is just a short distance away from downtown Camden so you don't have all the crazy traffic.

This was our last stay on our trip, we wish we would have been able to stay here longer. It was a very comfortable bed, our cabin was closest to the water (room 24). The breakfast the next morning was delicious (muffin, popover, juice, fruit, boiled eggs, coffee) and a great price! If given the opportunity to return to Maine, I would definitely come back to this property.

Upon check in we were told that we were going to be in a room in the main part of the inn instead of the cottage we had booked. When we questioned it we were told it was an upgraded room. When we said we had our hopes on the cottage we were finally told there had been a fire and the cottage wasn’t available. The upgraded room had a king bed in a room that was too small for that sized bed so one us was constantly banging a knee or toe because there was no room to get around it. There was no television, no fridge, no microwave which the cottage was supposed to have. The bathroom was barely a closet and the tub didn’t drain correctly. The main outlet was a power strip on the floor or there was one behind the bureau. The vending machine in the list of amenities didn’t work so grabbing a cold soda was out but they had plenty of bottles of wine. When we looked up to see when the fire happened it was a month before our stay and we booked two months prior, curious why we didn’t get a heads up that our room was changing. Thankfully we brought a cooler with us but there was no chance we were warming any leftover up. The staff was pleasant but never around so luckily we didn’t have any needs. The access ramp to the beach is incredibly steep and the beach although private it mostly large rocks so difficult to explore. The description didn’t really match what we experienced. Only thing that was great was the view from the upgraded room.

Very spacious and modern room. The view is unarguably the best, we will definitely come back for that. Holly was very nice and accommodating our needs. Location is sweeet, right off the main road but very quite, and that’s being said, super close to downtown. We loved this place so much!!! We will definitely be back!

Everything was wonderful. Beautiful view from room. Nice little walkway to water's edge. Charming breakfast area with wonderful food. Our host was amazing. He addressed everybody by name and was great at meeting all of our needs.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the High Tide Inn. A very warm welcome and beautiful waterfront views. The updated bathroom was a plus. Mark’s home made popovers were excellent. We will definitely be back!

Hospitality first and foremost leaves nothing to complain about. Holly is bubbly and seems to work around the clock. Mark also made us feel welcome. The Inn needs a few updates, maintenance from age and weather, but was actively being improved upon the whole time we were there. The prices are very appropriate for the improvements still pending and the area. Nothing is cheap on the coast. Our room was in the main building of the Inn and we found it to be exceptionally clean, very tastefully decorated (Oceanside without anchors or “life is a beach” signage.) The main floor area was gorgeous. It was very much a B&B room and so next time I will select a room that is in one of the stand alone buildings- just our preference; we felt like we should whisper. I would have preferred larger towels and a softer mattress, but these are small considerations for such a nice experience. Well worth it knowing that it’s not a cookie cutter Holiday Inn type room. The view, beach access and smell of the salty air were incredible. We will definitely return.

We stayed in Cottage 6 for one night and really enjoyed our time. It’s not fancy, but it’s cozy and comfortable, my partner even said he had his best night’s sleep of the trip thanks to the refreshing breeze flowing through the room. The location is fantastic, peaceful, quiet, and right by the ocean. Mark was a wonderful host, greeting guests by name and offering warm popovers and blueberry muffins from his basket in the morning. Holly was equally wonderful and went above and beyond, texting me right away when I accidentally left my AirPods behind. If you appreciate a slightly rustic, laid-back atmosphere with lots of charm and near the ocean, this place is a gem. I’d absolutely stay again if given the chance.

High Tide Inn is a magical place! The innkeeper Mark is knowledgeable about the area and is very personable. He also makes amazing blueberry muffins as well as turnovers! Find time for breakfast, a walk on the beach and relaxing on the patio. A short distance for the village of Camden and Camden state park. Take a moment to give $6 to the state park and drive to the summit. Amazing views. You won’t be disappointed with your stay at High Tide Inn.
