R MOGAMI

The view was stunning. it was lovely to have an outdoor spa in your private space, having a sauna in the room was special. The dinner was delicious. Had to cook it yourself but it was nice to have a night in. Found the YouTube video not helpful but easy enough to work out yourself.

The ice machine woke me up a number of times during the night. Not sure why it’s in the room I would have it removed.

I would rate them 20 out of 10! Absolutely everything was perfect: the room facilities, the view, the beds, the thoughtful amenities. The food provided was top quality, although you cook for yourself (which was extra fun for us), the result is restaurant-quality. We are very grateful to the friendly staff, who responded to any requests, were always in touch, showed genuine concern and helped us get to the hotel. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

新年で山形に過ごして良かったです。 お忙しい中で色々なものを用意してくれてありがとうございました。 サービスの皆は明るくて、親切な気持ちを感じました。 部屋から雪と川も見えてすごく綺麗でした。 そして、朝食と夕食も美味しくいただきました。 ですが、スリッパはちょっと薄い気がしました。(外れやすかったです) また、山形県に行くときに泊まりたいです。 二日間でありがとうございました。

They accomodated our late check-in, and the food provided was amazing. Also the in-person check-out was great and they were very attentive. The room is beautiful and it has everything that you need. I recommend it.

ロケーションがとても良かった。窓のカーテンは厚いカーテンがあったら良かった。外からどう見えるのか気になら気を使った。

We were extremely happy with the food and the amount. The host went out of her way to write the directions in English for us, as she was not sure whether we understood Japanese or not. Loved the place.

The light by the bathroom was sensory-operated so it went on when someone went to the bathroom in the middle of the night. It was quite bright, wished there was a way to dim the light. But it was a minor issue.

Location and concept are excellent. Outside view is amazing. Facilities, cleanliness, food, staff everything was excellent. Full of nature.

Beds are too big, difficult to walk around the room. No need of such big beds.

A perfect retreat out of people's way. The room was really nice. Kind of a tiny home I'd like to live in. The sunset view of Mogami river was stunning. We also got lucky to be there at the time of cherry blossom and there were a couple blooming tree in front of our balcony. The shower and bath view gave the perfect relaxation time. The yakiniku dinner set and breakfast were already in the fridge. We did move the table out to the balcony to enjoy our meal outside. The hotel(?) is also next to the end point of Mogami river cruise. So you can take the bus to the starting point and getting the full Mogami experience and back to sleep at this place.

I think the bed was a bit too big for the room size so it gives just too little space for getting in and out of the room. Only 2 cloth hangers were provided which gave us a little trouble finding space to hang our coats and jackets. The water heating was Japanese home style and need to be manually operated. It also did shut off after around 30-40 mins (I guess to save fuel) which was a tad annoying but totally understandable.
