Pretty much in the middle of nowhere and not much to do on the property either.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with a one-day getaway at Villament Resort in Karjat on 27 April 2024, courtesy of our thoughtful daughter and son-in-law. Considering it felt like an off-season visit, the tariff of INR 17,252 for a single day seemed quite high. With temperatures soaring past 35 degrees Celsius and limited attractions to explore, we anticipated a more reasonable rate. The pricing left us perplexed, to say the least. While the food quality was satisfactory, the charges felt excessive. We particularly enjoyed the Prawn Kalimirchi, a flavorful and spicy prawn curry, but the items felt overpriced on the menu. The real kicker, though, was the exorbitant price of mineral water. A single bottle priced at INR 150 caught us off guard, especially since it wasn't mentioned in the menu. This unexpected expense left a sour taste in our mouths, both figuratively and literally. In conclusion, while Villament Resort in Karjat has its charms, the pricing strategy, particularly during the summer months, might not suit everyone. However, the cleanliness and staff hospitality are commendable.

Quick ratings for reference Location - 4/5 .. right in the highway and not too far from Mumbai (1 hr approx) .. Added bonus, it is just beside an amazing pub called Clink Cleanliness - 4/5 .. good rustic feel. Amenities - 4/5 .. all superb, property is 4 months old and everything is in pristine condition. Key is to maintain it F&B - 4/5 .. kitchen is operational but not 24X7. F&B manager is superb and gets involved personally Hospitality- 4/5 .. staff was supportive and accomodating Infra - 4/5 .. property has a game room with pool table, carrom, table tennis etc. Good size pool.. great gardens and a lovely restaurant. Rooms are cottages with patio (prefer the ones facing inside, they have better view than ones facing periphery) Since it is quite new, I loved they took the feedback and were really serious about how to improve. Great signs to make big in hospitality industry.

Major areas to improve - 24X7 kitchen with definitely a better menu. Tandoor items yet to start - TV in room wasn’t functional. Tech upkeep is necessary. Should also have option to cast

We enjoyed our stay very much. The cottages are very new, nice and comfortable. Despite being near the highway, it is very private and there is a nice view of the nearby hills. Nice that they placed a game area with table tennis and billiard. Breakfast was also very good.

I would say that the place is fantastic provided that the staff manages to maintain the cleaning quality. The shower curtain was a bit dirty.
