We stayed at this property for 3 nights. It is a lovely properly and very conveniently located. Food was excellent. It's a relatively small hotel but had a very positive vibe about it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Food and drinks were top-notch. The restaurant overlooks the lake and has a lovely view. The restaurant staff is extremely courteous. Very conveniently located. It is just across the Chandpole parking (across the bridge). All the attractions were very close-by. Lot of shopping options too. You can easily rent-a-bike and roam around the city. We took the Junior suites and were extremely comfortable. They were quite spacious.

I had an incredible experience at Moustache Verandah. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming and attentive, making check-in smooth. The room was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was incredibly cozy, and the lake view from the window was breathtaking.

Great location, beautiful surroundings and great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist ever. The complimentary high tea with in house bakes was not to be missed. Morning breakfast spread can be improved and overall serving time at the restaurant can also be worked on. Rest all was nice and comfortable, we enjoyed our stay in this beautiful property.

Moustache Veranda is a small hotel situated next to the Chandpole bridge and facing north to the Swaroop Sagar lake. It has good views of this lake and some of the ghats surrounding its eastern sides. It is served by a predominantly very young team of staff. Pros: Attractive little pool area overlooking the lake Free tea and biscuits between 4&6 Lakeside veranda restaurant with views serving a wide range of food choices Our room and bathroom had recently been repainted and refitted - although still with a noticeable crack in the window Good hot water for shower Comfortable bed Good location to reach east city sights and also explore the west side of the city Cons: Very few sunny spots to sit - room balconies, restaurant and pool seating all face north Door to room balcony is hard to open/close, not creating an inviting place to sit Swimming pool is unheated and faces north; it is overlooked by lobby and restaurant, so feels very public Staff are sweet, but largely lacking in basic customer awareness (not trained to smile, say hello, problem-solve etc) Rooms do not have heating (it is very cold after sunset even on a very hot and sunny day) a noisy fan heater was provided, after initially being told there weren't any heaters (see above) Even redecorated bathroom has a slightly unpleasant smell of drains Large extractor fan on roof, is noisy from early to late and makes the hotel lobby and common areas etc smell of cooking Hotel is a modern building and without character Rooms are nice but only a notch up from 'basic' standard and very unmemorable Approach to hotel is from road up a narrow and dark alleyway If, like us, you pre-book and pay a premium daily rate, this hotel is disappointing and not worth the cost, especially in a city full of other more historical and characterful options in the ₹1100+ per night range. If you can book it at a last-minute, or a cheap advance, rate, it would be a clean, well-situated, family friendly budget option, especially in the hottest months (not January) when the north-facing aspect could be an asset.

I have travelled to many countries and stayed in many hotels. The hospitality and helpfulness offered by this hotel are exceptional. Its unique location, food, and variety of choices are outstanding. The layout and aspects of the hotel cannot be faulted. I am truly enchanted by the experience.”

Hôtel confortable petit déjeuner très correct et très bon dîner avec superbe vue sur le lac depuis la terrasse et la piscine à débordement. Demander de préférence une chambre avec vue sur le lac pour avoir plus de luminosité. Ayant été victime d'un accident à Udaipur, le gérant de l'hôtel a tout organisé pour mon arrivée à l'hôpital et a même avancé tous les frais liés. À recommander chaudement

I booked a suite at this hotel for the end of my Rajasthan stay. It was tricky to find but the hotel were great at sending instructions on getting there. The hotel itself and my room was very spacious and well decorated but I felt there could have been more nods to local culture around. The view of the lake is stunning but there are some wear and tear of being near the water starting to show. I had half board which included a la carte for dinner and the food was incredible with a wide range of cuisines on offer. The one thing I can’t fault is the staff especially Kanishka on the front desk and the restaurant waiters who were very kind and helpful and made my stay enjoyable.
