Hotel Newline Orchid

The hotel is new and well maintained.Rooms are well decorated, furniture and beds are comfortable .All the staff are courteous.This hotel is very close to Guruvayur temple.I find it very pleasant and convenient.

Every thing is perfect

Nothing. Check in took us almost 40 minutes from reception and they didn’t understand we were tired after a 5h journey. Reception people didn’t smile, were not kind at all and keep insisting we had to pay cash, also keep doing their stuff without listening to us. Never happened something like that in any of my travels. They checked our visa, our passport several times and moreover they came later in our room to ask once again for passport (which they gave us back after 30 minutes!!) asking the purpose of our visit (again, never occurred before). In our rooms things went worst: the room was dirty, the shower had no warm water and it didn’t work properly: sometimes the water didn’t came out for some minutes. Close to my pillow there was a spider: this means no one has ever looked at the bed properly. In the bathroom also there were other insects and hair. Morning time we couldn’t sleep because at 8am they put music in the hallway. This hotel should be 4 stars but has been our worst nightmare. The only people who helped us were the board members of the hotel, which we met by chance: they were smiley and kind and gave us a lot of information after check in and gave us the possibility to leave our luggage for extra couple of hours. I don’t recommend you to stay here unless the service starts thinking on customers’ well-being.

We liked the newness of the property and were surprised to know that the property was opened only 2 weeks before our stay. The property was so perfect, clean and good. The staff were good with quick responses to my requests. Our group was provided with a room upgrade as the management felt all people in the group could stay in same floor which was a wonderful good will gesture and thank you for upgrading the rooms. My little boy thoroughly enjoyed his swimming time at the property. Most importantly the property is close to the temple, restaurants so worth the stay and the money spent. We look forward to visit again.
