Beautiful room, great location, kind and accommodating staff— amazing experience overall! Amazing value for the price, it felt like a luxury experience. The private onsen was perfect!

Nara Ryokan offered a traditional Japanese experience and represented good value for money compared with some of the more luxurious hotels we stayed in during our trip. The staff could not have been more helpful, both before our arrival and throughout our stay, and their hospitality really stood out. My room had a futon bed, which added to the authentic feel of the stay. The hotel was clean throughout and the private baths were a real highlight—relaxing, well maintained and a great way to unwind after a day exploring Nara. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and were glad we experienced it, although for us one night was the right amount of time.

The room itself was quite basic rather than luxurious, which was reflected in the price. The bathroom was small and the shower wasn't particularly good, although I preferred using the facilities in the private bath area anyway.

L’accueil et la chambre 👌

Les lits étais vraiment très confortable, la chambre étais très propre, tout étais nickel. Le lendemain, on nous amène du linge de rechange (essuie, yukata,...) au pied de la porte, j'ai adoré cette attention. La décoration de cet hôtel est tout simplement superbe. Personnel très accueillant et serviable. Emplacement idéal.

L'eau du bain dans le onsen n'était plus très chaud.
