AN-GRANDE HOTEL NARA

There were cockroaches in the room and in the lobby.

Very clean, quiet, the beds are extremely comfortable and the staff were very nice and helpful. It was an easy access to Nara Park and Todai Ji. We cannot thank you all enough for making us feel comfortable and will be back again!

Great hotel and location for exploring Nara city.

Super nice room in a quiet area but it is within a 3-min walk to Kintestu Nara Station

There is a smell like in the airplane in my room and also in the corridor. The air circulation could be improved. The rest are excellent.

Short walk from station, food and the attractions in Nara.

Location is perfect. Just a few steps from Kintetsu Nara station and the main shopping / restaurant street. A fabulous Michelin Star restaurant (Le Bois) is directly opposite the street and the deer park is in the same direction. A Lawsons and 7-12 are right there as well. We booked a corner junior suite - there are two in the hotel. The room itself is large and the bathroom is the largest we’ve had in Japan. Massive tv (but few tv channels and none in English - but that’s not a complaint). Great wifi and aircon. 2 x queen beds. Good shower etc. there’s a small balcony which we didn’t use because of the traffic noise. The hotel is on a busy road and the traffic noise was the only real negative. We slept ok with ear plugs but it’s not great sitting in the room with that noise. Other rooms near the back of the hotel are probably much better. Breakfast must be booked the day before - 2,000 yen each and a choice of western or Japanese. It was fine and interesting but a little wasteful. Staff were super polite. There are coin operated washing machines and (slow) dryers in the basement. One morning we awoke to a deer on the lawn of the next-door courthouse. So, as long as you don’t mind a bit of traffic noise this is a great place to stay.

I like its tranquil environment as it is close to the Nara Park and convenient too as everything such as transport, shops, restaurants are just a few minutes away. Staffs are very helpful.

Really nice and clean rooms, conveniently located, you can walk both to the main sights and to the train station. The breakfast was great and the staff was really nice. You even have buy a last-minute souvenir at the hotel, they have a small selection of little deer figurines etc. Really a great choice to stay in Nara.

Staffs are very helpful. Hotel is very new, modern shower room has powerful water flow. Hotel is in central location, close to the train station, Nara park and shopping street.
