Very atmospheric and comfortable place, with cozy beds and a soft, pleasant duvet. Delicious tea, a nice stream of warm water in the shower, and everything worked perfectly. The bathroom amenities smelled wonderful and were complete (shampoo, lotion, conditioner, shower gel, etc.).

A small ironing board and a compact iron in the room would be a nice addition. It would also be helpful to have English-language TV channels, especially news. Disposable fabric slippers instead of leather ones would be appreciated.

The location was perfect...right in the heart of the Gion district close to many restaurants and things to see and do. The staff was so helpful and friendly- they went out of their way to make our stay perfect.

Sweet little hotel in amazing location down a quiet street in Gion. Very helpful staff who mostly spoke excellent English

Our room was quite small - just about room for the suitcases! - but we stayed for 5 nights and grew to love it :) It was extremely expensive as we were there in cherry blossom season. I think all accommodation is two or three times the usual price around this time
