Absolutely stunning hotel in a fabulous location close to Nishiki market. This property felt authentic and traditional yet modern. Absolutely beautiful.

There was nothing we didn’t like about this property.

Location, space, convenience of luggage storage and shipment, easy checkout, cleaning and removal of garbage

The heat was extremely difficult to turn on and off. It was hard to know if it was on or if it was off. it took a lot of time to get it to work. The hot water in the upstairs bathroom did not always work.

It was inconvenient to have to go to another location to pick up keys. They should have a van or something to transport you to the unit after picking up the keys.

The key pick-up situation. Having to pick up the keys then taxi to the unit was inconvenient

A traditional, excellently located small house. We and our three children were very comfortable here and it was the perfect base to explore Kyoto from. The bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely and the rest of the house clean and stylish too. Lots of free toiletries and thoughtful additions in the kitchen. The staff at the check in office are very helpful and speak excellent English. They even stored our bags for us the next day so we could continue exploring before going to our next rental in Osaka. I appreciated the western bed for a few nights after many nights of being on the floor style beds at our previous accommodation. They were also so kind in refunding one night as bad weather meant we were stuck in our previously location longer than planned. All in all lovely accommodation and very nice company.
