ハレアカラ - 4階建てプライベートマンション

The place was clean and there was plenty of room for the 3 people staying there (there was room for 6 comfortably, more if cramped). The kitchen was supplied enough for most needs especially with a grocery store within walking distance. The shower room was huge. The main floor common room was large. The A/C units in the main room and bedrooms worked wonderfully. The lock box for the keys was very helpful for the multiple people coming and going.

The stairs are many, narrow and curved. If you have mobility issues, this is not the place for you. There are also half-steps unexpectedly which caused tripping several times. The half-step down into the toilet area was a hazard. Everyone fell down the stairs or tripped going into the toilet area at least once during this 3 week stay, and they were fairly nimble Karate people. None of these issues can be changed due to structural constraints but maybe more documentation and/or signs and/or glow tape would be helpful to prevent mishap. Also, there was no sink near the toilet, aside from the kitchen sink, so that was troublesome to maintain good hygiene.
