ELM On The Beach

The location is great, near the beach and good restaurants.

The living room is very small, furniture is not comfortable and in bad shape, too many things in the house that are not necessary.

The hosts and their pets are very nice and friendly. Their English breakfast offering is a very nice hospitality and a must try. The house itself is cozy and comfy, close to the beach and equipped with amenities good for a few days to a few weeks of stay. The location of the house is easily accessible from the local toad and JR line. However, I would recommend the road access. This place can be a good hub for exploring the Tohoku areas. The host do provide their own Kei Car for rent as well if you are here just for a short stay.

The access by train although possible and not a long walk from the JR station , can be a hassle if you come with suitcases.

We loved that we had an entire house with all luxuries available to our family making our stay extremely comfortable and fun.

Chris the host helped us with anything we needed help with! Was a great host for us and definitely recommend for anyone who’s thinking of staying in ibaraki!

The apartment was very well set up with a spacious tatami room with enough beds for four upstairs, and a well appointed loving area downstairs. It was the perfect set up for a family of four. Also, really close to 7-11 and a nice walking trail along the coast.

There are lovey animals that dogs and black cat! They are friendly. kind host cooks UK breakfast. It is delicious that exactly same picture.

一人自転車旅で北茨城に訪れた際利用しました。 一日貸切で貸していたそうで、夕方に予約を入れた後急ピッチで清掃してくれました。 中は一階がイギリスの民家風のリビング、二階が和室に机とベッドがおいてある内装。 オーナーのご夫妻は隣の家に住んでおり、何かあればすぐに相談できます。 自分は自転車を庭に安全に駐輪できたのと、洗濯機に加え乾燥機もついていたのが非常に助かりました。 旅の疲れを癒す、友達とワイワイする、色々な楽しみ方ができる一軒家のホテル、誰にでもおすすめできます。

A wonderful beach house. Very conveniently located with the beach a one minute walk, 7-Eleven two minutes and the train station 5 minutes. The house was very comfortable and had everything you could need. Bed was comfortable, shower was hot, WiFi signal was strong. We loved the beach. Check in was very easy even though we booked last minute. And the host, we didn't meet him though he was very friendly and welcoming. We can highly recommend Elm.

Nothing, all wonderful

The property is very near to the beach. It is around a minute walk only. The place is bug enough to accommodate around 4 people. It has everything that you need to have a comfortable stay. Also, the owner is fluent in English so it was easy for us to communicate for us with very little knowledge on Japanese. But the owner can also speak Japanese.

The bed might be to small for 2 people and one toddler but this is very minor since there are futons available.
