KABIN Gion - formerly KABIN Minamiza

Loved the location. Center to everything and just off the main road. The room was very clean and very spacious for 4 people. Must try the cocktails at the on site bar. Would definitely book here again.

Outstanding location. Decent room size by Japanese standards, housing four adults mostly comfortably — albeit in an unorthodox room layout. Heavy emphasis on self-service.

We didn’t mind the self-service approach to things but others may prefer a more traditional service.

The location is good, you can easily explore Gion on foot, nearby are a lot of options to eat, also all the shopping is also easily accessible by foot. Metro station is also close.

Very small room, it’s expected in Japan but still, way overpriced for what it is, windows don’t open, gets humid, there is AC but blasts straight to you, so it’s not very comfortable. Pick this hotel if location matters to you but don’t expect lot of comfort.
