SGWe absolutely loved doing onsen every evening: a private in-room one is just such a wonderful luxury. The entire Ryokan is so elegant and beautiful. Breakfast was interesting and very traditional. The staff were so lovely and accommodating, always finding ways to answer our questions and helping us wherever they could - I will miss them all. Best of all was the town of Obi, which is a beautiful place with so much history. I really loved our Miyazaki trip and staying at Nazuna was part of that loveliness.
There was a marble shelf right above our bed. It gave me a lot of anxiety - and true enough, my husband was in a lot of pain after he hit his head accidentally on the marble shelf one morning. I don't understand why anyone would design it this way. I know it's hard to make changes now that its been built, but it is very strange how anybody could think this is safe. Hopefully something can be done...
