2704 Grand Harbour

The staff where we had to pick up the keys were pleasant and the property was in a great location with a view of the sunset and lake.

Apparently, as we were a late booker, we had to pick up the keys from Global, half hour away from the villa. Not great when you haven't hired a car. I didn't dream that this would be the case so we went early to the office at Emerald Island, only to be told we could leave out suitcases but someone would have to stay behind with them. The lady that we spoke to, wasn't that helpful or friendly. On arrival we thought the property had a musty smell and hadn't been cleaned for a few months. Poolside tables outside thick with dust and furniture rusting. Cutlery and Crockery had to be cleaned again. Our pool and hot tub didn't really get to temperature and on the last day we had cold showers as there was a gas leak. Emerald Island Estate is very well kept but full of rules and regulations! It's a real shame, as we have stayed on Emerald Island before and didn't have any issues.
