It was clean. That’s it

Very disappointing experience regarding room temperature and customer service. The room was uncomfortably warm, and despite setting the AC to the lowest temperature and maximum fan, it was not cooling. We later learned that the system is centrally controlled and cooling was disabled. What was frustrating was the response from staff. We were told that since it was “cold outside” (around 15°C), the air conditioning could not be turned on, and the only solution offered was to open the window. No room change was available and no practical alternative was suggested. I understand that some hotels in Germany use centrally controlled systems, but this should be communicated clearly in advance, especially when air conditioning is advertised. A more empathetic and solution-oriented response would have made a big difference.
