Borgo Le Niche by Wonderful Italy

The property was very clean and warm, and was in an excellent location. However, the setup didn’t feel very well thought through. It was poorly equipped and poorly organised, eg the kitchen utensils were stored in the wardrobe, there was no space to do any chopping/food prep, and there was nowhere to plug in electrics such as the coffee machine except in a tight space next to the sink, which felt like an accident waiting to happen. Also the sofa bed was not very comfortable (with two adults sharing it) and all the pillows very hard. However, the property was very clean with fresh bedding, a warm shower and lovely soft towels as well as an iron. The hosts’ staff also brought us wine glasses and a cutting knife immediately when we asked which was nice of them!

Beautiful, totally new, fully equipped, and quiet place in the middle of Parco delle Madonie. If you want to escape from all the noise and the big city, and if you just want to be close to nature, this is the perfect place.

Stunning views across to Polizzi Generosa from the pool. Beautiful and clean pool. Lovely private terrace to each property. Very clean and comfortable accommodation.

The kitchen was a little basic if you’re keen to cook eg no wine glasses, one kitchen knife etc. Don’t expect all your usual amenities nearby - the local town has a few shops to get the basics. The local roads are in pretty poor condition and driving on the twisty mountain roads can be hair raising. There isn’t air conditioning in the accommodation but the rooms are kept cool even in the high temperatures by shutters, tiled floors, high ceilings etc.
