Piazza Grande - Italian Homing

The central location has its obvious advantages, but it can also be inconvenient. Late-night concerts, fireworks displays, and even political demonstrations are common. If you don't enjoy the city's nightlife, you certainly won't sleep soundly, even in the off-season. very well equipped kitchen

€300 deposit is charged To open the gate to the apartment you must always have internet on your phone after folding the small sofa there is no passage to other rooms It's cold in the apartment, the central heating only works from 15/10, and the old air conditioning doesn't provide heat the elevator is very small, it won't fit a baby stroller the owner will send messages every now and then about what needs to be done before check-out, for me it was stressful because the list of tasks is long (even taking out the trash) and I didn't want to think about it, just enjoy my stay in Bologna.

The apartment is near the Piazza. Central but inevitably noisy. The apartment has character (high ceilings, etc). If you contact the agency, they are quick to respond.

After you have booked, you will receive a pile of "legal documents" to finalise the "rental agreement ". I did not like that, and this was a first for a holiday stay. It details all sorts of fines if you were to break something.There is no reception and you need internet reception (mobile data) to get into the property. Facilities could be better but were OK (no kettle, no tea towels). Overall fine but not outstanding.

Great location, fabulous old building. Close to all attractions, great restaurants plenty of busses.. Hosts very responsive to queries.

Complicated instructions for initial access. Recycling process was a bit unclear if you're not Italian. Sofa bed not very comfortable. Be sure to request sofa bed to be made up in advance if you require two beds. Unfortunately no dish soap or toiletries but they were subsequently when requested.

Location is super. Right in the centre of Bologna. Numerous restaurants & cafes around.

Smell in the toilet. Shower is tiny. Water pressure is not good. I have struggled to open the metal gate & called the company but no one was available to assist. It was a shame that I had to ask a neighbour to help..

The location is excellent but otherwise the apartment could be much better.

Access at night. I arrived a little after 21.00 as my flight was delayed. Italian Homing's help desk closes at 21.00. In none of their communications before arrival had Italian Homing said a cell phone would be necessary to open the access gates outside the apartment. Also the first step was to ring an old-style brass bell and the instructions were not helpful due to poor standard of English. I had printed out the instructions as I didn't want to stand in a dark narrow street at night trying to get access which made the instructions even less clear. And I was l left without any help desk backup. I had to stay the night with a colleague and when I returned next morning I did gain access. The lock on the door to the apartment was also unreliable and often did not turn on the first one or two attempts. the services of the letting agency, Italian Homing, are very poor. They convey no sense of care for customer comfort unlike other apartments I where I have stayed in Bologna. The apartment was spacious and well heated but not very well equipped. Toiletries were listed under facilities but only two empty containers were in the apartment. The electric kettle and toaster listed were also missing.

2nd bed was impossible to sleep in. There was no toilet paper.

Old Italian house , beautiful furnishings, shutters , high ceilings .

Coffee machine was not good , no ability to make coffee on arrival. I would prefer a simple stainless steel Bialetti.
