The location was excellent. Great views from the room. Breakfast was exceptional and staff very hospitable and eager to please. The host was very welcoming with good command of English. The house was characterful with beautiful carved ceilings.

Our room even though it had views of the old town. Was very small but Ok for a one night stay. The angle of the visuals on booking.com is a bit misleading.

My experience in travelling Turkey is that the people are friendly and helpful - and this is reflected in the staff at this, and other, hotels. The location was excellent for walking access to the town centre, and the room was very comfortable. No complaints.

Perfect location and amazing view. The breakfast is also great.

It was the most amazing location - elevated with panoramic views over the whole of Safranbolu. Sympathetic restoration of a historic Ottoman mansion maintaining character and charm , but also providing modern day comforts. It is only a 200m walk down to the centre , and easily accessed by car with parking on the road right outside. Mr Gunes takes a real pride in his property , and it shows in the ongoing garden project , his friendliness , and the huge and well prepared breakfasts. It is completely worth booking the upstairs room with the balcony. We loved it.

We loved everything. But it is worth noting that if you are very large the shower is very small , and as it is historic and wooden , there is a lot of creaking when walking on the floorboards , so I don’t think it would be pleasant in a downstairs room !

Great view of the old city from above yet a very short walk down into it (5 minutes). Friendly owners, nice breakfast. Room was very comfortable, especially enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking down on the old city, both day and night! Newly rebuilt building.
