Fabroniana Apartments

There are several reasons that Fabroniana Apartments is an excellent place to stay in Pistoia. The hosts, Daniele and his wife, were incredibly good hosts! A huge storm hit the area the day/night before we arrived to Pistoia, and when we arrived to Prato, our connecting train to Pistoia was canceled. We tried buses/taxis--no one was making that 23 km. trip. We were resigned to staying in Prato for the night, and I called Daniele to let him know our situation. When he heard even taxis weren't making the trip, he quickly volunteered to pick us up in Prato and take us to the apartment in Pistoia! We gratefully accepted his offer. He and his wife arrived about 30 minutes later, and we were on our way. Little did we know that the previous night floodwaters entered Daniele's home--there were about 4 inches of rain in their living room, and they spent hours cleaning up the mess before they came to pick us up. During the ride, we saw fields were flooded on both sides of the road--for sure we would not have made it to Pistoia without the incredible generosity of Daniele and his wife....they are both such lovely people! Grazie mille, Daniele--you saved us so much stress and bother with your willing and unselfish offer, esp. when things weren't so good at home for you. Then, he also took us to the train station the day we left Pistoia! About the facilities...everything was great. The apartments are perfectly located for exploring the old town on foot, including the sites of interest, as well as restaurants, pharmacies, groceries, etc. The huge back terrace is amazing. Directly across from the terrace is the Parrochia Sant' Andrea Apostolo, a very old church (originally built in the 8th century, and lengthened in the 12th) with a famous altarpiece by Pisano. Inside, the apartment was welcoming, clean and comfortable--everything one needs is there. Simply fantastic, stay here if you go to Pistoia!!

Everything was perfect.

Pistoia is a beautiful city, it's safe (we are two female travellers so safety was a key factor to consider when looking for accommodation) , and there are really nice local cafes/restaurants. People are very friendly and the coffee is so good. Right outside the apartment building, there's a street market (Wednesdays and Saturdays).. Pistoia has a lot of historical buildings to visit too. We travelled to Pisa and Florence from here. Chiara and her husband are amazing hosts. They picked us up from the station and dropped us to the apartment, helped us carry the luggage etc. They were very quick to respond to our queries too. The apartment is very nice and clean. Very homely, close to public transport and many cafes. Undoubtedly the best accommodation we had during our 3 weeks stay in Italy. We highly recommend this place♥️

The apartment is clean , beautiful town , if you have a car you can easily go to the surrounding areas such as Pisa and florence.. wouldn’t hesitate to stay here another time… The host is a nice cooperative person …

Fabulous apartment, very clean and in a lovely town. The terrace was a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine and the bathroom was modern and spotless. Hosts were really nice and very responsive to our messages. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you to our hosts.

Kitchen area was very small but we weren’t there to cook so not really a problem for us.
