Ca' Maria Tulipano by Wonderful Italy

The day before we get there they say they cannot host us and give us an “upgrade”. This upgrade was for Beach lake bellagio and it had no power which resulted in us having no wifi and no hot water. We left a day early because of the terrible conditions and we would have left sooner but we had no where else to go. Fighting for a full refund!!!

The location in Bellagio is great and the view from the balcony is wonderful.

We had an extremely disappointing stay at this property. The place was full of mould and damp, which not only left our clothes wet but also made us feel unwell during the trip and made mould begin to grow on bags. To make matters worse, the electricity went out one evening and was off for over 12 hours. The instructions provided in the host’s manual were incorrect, and instead of getting support straight away, we were left in the dark until the following morning when a different solution was finally given. Communication with the host was very poor. Almost everything was handled through an automated WhatsApp chat, and when genuine issues arose, there was no real urgency to help.

Aucun contact humain dans les échanges (chat bot), donc des questions qui sont restées sans réponse... Instructions pour accéder au logement à moitié erronées (certaines clefs ne correspondaient pas aux photos pour ouvrir les différentes portes) De la moisissure présente dans plusieurs endroits du logement (encadrement de fenêtres, pleinte, luminaire déco) Des équipements signalés défectueux par de précédents locataires non réparés (lunette des toilettes, store dans la chambre au-dessus du lit) Parmi les couverts mis à disposition, une seule fourchette avec un manche cassé Le chauffe-serviette est corrodé avec la peinture qui s'écaille

Overall the apartment gives you everything you need, the view of the lake from the patio is lovely. We spent most nights out there with a bottle of wine, it was really peaceful. The walk to Bellagio is about 10-15 minutes, just be warned it is mostly uphill on the way back. If you need provisions then there is a mini supermarket about 5 minutes walk away. Turn left out of the metal gate, go down the hill and go straight across the road junction, keep walking - you will go past a florist on your left, follow the road around the bend - then you will see a sign for the supermarket on your left, the entrance to the shop is on the right, there should be some cars parked there !! (Their fresh Croissants were lovely)

ON ARRIVAL - now this is where there were major shortfalls. We were given a key code by Wonderful Italy, what we weren’t told is the fact that there are about 6 key boxes by the entrance gate, and NONE of them are labelled in any way. There is also a list of the various apartments by the side gate, but Ca’ Maria Bellavista is not even listed here. . I had to call Wonderful Italy as we were stuck outside not knowing what to do, or even if we were at the correct gate. I was basically just told to read the booking in instructions again, it was only after a few minutes that I was then told that the property was previously called Ca’ Maria Tulipano and nobody had changed any signage !! On trying all of the key safes eventually one did open, and keys on a key ring labelled “Ca’ Maria Tulipano” duly dropped out. Entering through the main gate you basically have no idea where to go, as again there is no signage at all. We eventually got through the main doors of the apartment building to be faced with doors to 4 possible apartments, (See photo) again there is no signage at all. It was only by working out where the patio photo had been taken did we work out that Ca’ Maria Bellavista (or is it Ca’ Maria Tulipano) had to be situated on the left hand side of the building, and we were correct..the door to the apartment is up a few steps on the far left. Thankfully we did not try any of the other doors facing us ! To be fair the apartment is nice, but there are a couple of easy things to improve. The kitchen badly needs a chopping board, even a small one would be better than nothing. I have read previous reviews stating the toilet seat was broken, well guess what - it still is ! It looks as though it just needs a quick fix by undoing the nuts at the back of the toilet, repositioning the seat & then tightening the nuts back up . Unfortunately I didn’t take my multi purpose spanner on holiday with me 🙂

Great location, clean, beautiful view, great storage space, lots of room!

The property was dirty with stained walls and dusty shelves. The shower was clogged. I had to wash my hair in the sink because the hot water would not be enough for a full shower. It would run out after 3min. The toilet seat was loose and dangerous to sit. The place was cold because there was no heating and the towels were always wet because we were not able to dry them up. I do NOT recommend this place!!

The location was great! The property is quite spacious and parking too

The property was dirty and had a horrible damp smell to it as well as being stuffy. The hot water would run out after a couple of minutes of showering which is not ideal. It’s rather hazardous getting into the property at night as the lights don’t come on so it’s pitch black. To make matters worse there was also a power cut during our stay.
