Santo Stefano Elegant Apartment by Wonderful Italy

Die Ferienwohnung überzeugt durch ihre zentrale und gleichzeitig ruhige Lage. Besonders positiv war die Flexibilität beim Check-in: Aufgrund unserer Zugverspätung mussten wir die Ankunftszeit mehrmals kurzfristig ändern, was von Ares sehr freundlich und unkompliziert ermöglicht wurde. Vielen Dank dafür.

Wir sind zu viert angereist, doch nur das Zimmer mit Doppelbett war hergerichtet. Das zweite Zimmer hat lediglich ein Schlafsofa, das wir selbst herrichten mussten. Es war sehr hart und durchgelegen und für zwei Erwachsene nicht zumutbar.

Appartamento dotato di tutti i confort. Le camere spaziose e letti comodi. 1 bagno con doccia + 1 bagno di servizio. Stanzino con lavatrice. Cucina a vista nell'ampio salone con tutto l'indispensabile con affaccio sulla piazza. Posizione super centrale ma fuori dal caos. Che dire.....tutto perfetto

There's one bathroom and one additional toilet - not two bathrooms. The drain in the shower needs to be fixed.

The location is great.

We booked this apartment based on the appealing photos and description on Booking.com, expecting a clean, well-maintained, and comfortable place to stay. Unfortunately, the reality was far from what was promised. The apartment was in poor condition, and the host was unresponsive to our concerns, including a formal request for a refund. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed several cleanliness issues. The walls and furniture were dirty, there was dust and cobwebs everywhere, and the shower had ingrained dirt with a foul-smelling drain. The bed sheets were unclean, and dried dirt was found inside the wardrobes. This was nothing like the immaculate space portrayed in the photos on the listing. Additionally, the apartment had several functional issues that were never addressed. The toilet was leaking, and the bathroom sink was only dispensing scalding hot water, making it unusable. The second toilet, which was one of the reasons we booked this apartment, was also leaking and thus completely unusable. So, instead of the two bathrooms we were expecting, we were left with just one malfunctioning toilet. We contacted the host, Alessio, and he initially assured us that these issues would be resolved. However, after that, we received no further communication from him, leaving us to deal with the problems on our own. We even had to video call a plumber to stop the leaking toilet and manage the water supply. The air conditioning, another major factor in our decision to book this apartment, worked only on the first day before it completely stopped functioning, leaving the apartment unbearably hot (28–30°C) for the rest of our stay. The shower was poorly maintained, with a loose showerhead that sprayed water everywhere, and the sink was broken. We had to use the kitchen sink to brush our teeth and wash our faces for three days, which was incredibly inconvenient. The sofa bed in the guest room was also in terrible condition.

The location is wonderful and right in the centre of Bologna. It’s very stylish with a clear view of the square. There is a fully equipped kitchen and the lighting is exceptional.

The second bedroom has an uncomfortable sofa bed. It really should have a bed. In the lounge there was a very uncomfortable sofa thing that didn’t work as a sofa or a bed. As a group we would have enjoyed having 2 sets of keys. There was just one tiny bin bag.
