Flower House with Lake View by Wonderful Italy

Perfect location, view, and amenities. Not massively accessible if you don’t drive as you have to walk up a hill next to traffic to get to the front door. The front door was difficult to find because the instructions were not up-to-date (the link was broken) and it was difficult to get a response from the team. When we did have responses, it was difficult to understand and sparse.

The apartment is a well-kept unit with two great bedrooms and exceptional views of the lake. The balcony spaces are also ideal to enjoy the views of lake como. The location was easily accessible to the train, ferry and the town. The walk to the apartment is around a corner of a steep road that we would need to be careful when crossing the street, especially at night. Despite that, it was still a desirable location.

To be honest, my plan was to write a very good review of this apartment (see compliments above). However, we did not have hot or warm water during our stay. Even though the water was cold, I still was planning to give good reviews, however, ultimately our concerns were not heard and misdirected. It was disappointing that during our stay the communication with the local staff was poor. The communication was confusing and the local staff member we were assigned to communicate with seemed to not be familiar with our unit. On the day before check out, we were finally told by another local staff member that the issues were due to a repair needing to be performed that could not occur during our stay. What was the most disappointing is when we did check out and were provided information to communicate and request a partial refund, we received dishonest and conflicting information about what occurred during our stay. We were then told that we were to blame for the lack of hot/warm water, when this in fact was not true. During multiple and tiring communication chains back and fourth and then getting booking.com to assist in the matter, the company did ultimately give us a partial refund. I would cautiously book this property because of the management staff. If there is an issue that comes up during your stay, it may be challenging to receive honest assistance due to my experience.

Everything … easy check in, all you need including tablets for the dishwasher and pods for the washing machine The view from the balcony was just stunning Close to the train station, just a few steps The apartment was spacious and had nice vibes .

Walking there is doable but could be dangerous- is a short distance uphill just plan your way up ( by any means a negative)

Fabulous location, very clean, very spacious, everything you could need. The communications were fast and very effective. We needed some washing up tablets and they appeared within a coulpe of hours - brilliant. The views were magnificent from every room, even sitting on the loo. Liked the fact keys were in the box, very easy check in.

Everything in Varenna closes by 10pm, so maybe some information on ordering delivery food, if they that and making reservations? Also, a pizza cutter in the utensil drawer.
