Lake View Terrace Apartment

The balcony with the most gorgeous view over the lake was the main attraction. The apartment was also quite spacious, modern, comfortable and clean. The kitchen is fully equipped. You even get pasta and small sets with oil and vinegar (unfortunately only one coffee capsule per person). The (free) parking and self check in was easy enough with the extensive information sent ahead. The accommodation is in a less polished and quieter area, quite high above the lake, be prepared to climb (by car or by foot). We walked to Lenno which is more touristy with some restaurants, the ferry and a nicer beach.

The heat! It was over 30 C inside when we arrived and there were only fans. For the sofa bed only a table fan but no place to put it with a socket near. The nonexistent WiFi. We reported the issue at arrival but if we wanted someone to look at it at all we would’ve had to go back to the apartment on our only full day in Como, not worth it. The threats of getting fined if you don’t sort the trash correctly and then there is only one trash container in the apartment? OK to buy the four different types of bags in a supermarket if you are a longtime resident, but for two nights? The communication was a lot, for good and bad. So much to read up on prior to arrival and a bit manipulative tone. Be aware a “bonus gift” bribe is offered if you write a 100% positive review.

Le logement: au top. C'est sûr ce n'est pas fait pour les gens qui n'aiment pas marcher et monter des escaliers mais c'est ça qui fait son charme. L'appartement est en très bon état. Le four ne fonctionnait pas mais on a été prévenu avant notre arrivée que tout allait rentrer dans l'ordre, ce qui a été le cas dès le lendemain. Quant à Rent All Como, le sens du service poussé à l'extrême. Tout est clair et écrit dans le contrat: il suffit de le lire. Et si toutefois on a une question, on a la réponse dans les 10 minutes qui suivent, même tard le soir. Excellente expérience que je renouvellerai dans hésitation
