The appartment was in good condition, as it was advertised. The location is good.

There was renovation work going on downstairs every weekday and it was very noisy. No one informed us. The owners said they did not know anything. It's hard to believe, because it was going on quite for some time. We were travelling with a small baby, so we had to spend a lot of time inside. It was annoying. The owners did not give us the key from the garbage containers near by, so we had to take all the garbage about 15min away to the public containers.

Very poor directions re how to get the key, no signs inside the building or number on the apartment door, very tricky to unlock the apartment door, no warning given about the fact that there is a step up as soon as you open the first large wooden door; lots of stairs even though I asked if there were many and was told that there were not! You have to sleep on one side of the bed because in the middle you feel the two single bed edges! You could easily explain that the apartment is exactly opposite a restaurant and provide the name of the restaurant, because it is often hard to find street numbers. The caruggi area can be very daunting initially as the area appears dirty, unsafe and it is easy to get lost. I would stay in a nearby area that is easier to navigate if I was re booking this city again.

The localisation is good if you want to visit Genova and it is typical in the little street, the flat is clean and easy to find. There is a lot of stores close. The process of arrival is clear
