M amo Apartment al Palazzo Pellicceria

A great spacious appartment at an excellent location in the port area of Genua. Host provided for a warm welcome and some interesting suggestiosns for locations for visit - both culturally and culinary! A nice visit is the maritime museum.

The apartment is in the heart of the historic centre whose rabbit warren of narrow streets is unique. The feel of the location changes significantly according to time of day and day of the week. Its surprises and pleasures are endless. The apartment itself is impeccable. It is superbly well appointed with excellent modern taste, and everything works very well indeed. It is quiet and offers a relaxing contrast to the busy street life outside. Information about restaurants was much appreciated as was the generous supply of coffee cartridges. It felt like home-from-home.

The complexity of the television channels took time to crack. There are no white goods - dish washer or washing machine - but that was fine for our needs.

The flat was spacious for two, and SO clean. The host left a couple extra touches for us that we very much appreciated, along with a great list of restaurants and things to do in Genoa. The location was perfect - right in the medieval part of the city and surrounded by great food and wine. Panificio Claretta (focaccia), Pasticceria Marescotti (aka Cavo Cake Shop) and Locanda Spinola are musts!

We stayed Saturday night and found that the street was loud all night until the sun came up. Luckily, the host has an air conditioning unit that let us close the windows against the noise, but still keep the apartment cool throughout the night.

The apartment was immaculate and beautiful. Great facilities and fantastic location.
