Sergio was an excellent host and really enhanced our stay, personally checking us in and out again. As others have said, the market location is both good and bad. Vibrant during the day with great food and fresh produce but some days it was noisy from 3-4am and you definitely needed earplugs when staying in the front facing bedroom. From mid afternoon to around 5pm the market clear-up is again noisy but extremely efficient. The apartment itself is beautifully designed and wonderfully well appointed. Excellent bathrooms, bedrooms, storage, kitchen, living space, air conditioning etc. The location is good for exploring both Ortigia and main Siracusa and there are so many excellent restaurants and bars nearby you are spoilt for choice. It was lovely to wander each evening to a different location and soak up the atmosphere.

A little disappointed the balcony wasn't useable (far too small) and the exterior noise between 5am and 9am was quite a big issue for me (more than for my husband). It's worth noting our son in the rear bedroom wasn't bothered by the noise at all.

Great location - just above the market in Ortigia. Beautiful rooms and very comfortable. Parking nearby with easy payment options. Sergio was also very helpful. The noise of the market didn’t affect us.

A few extra toiletries like conditioner would have been great.

We thought the market right outside was a bonus. Great places to get breakfast and street food. Air conditioning worked well. Beds were comfy. Plumbing very good.

the rooms seemed quite dark, a minor thing. There are some stairs (about 20), unavoidable in older buildings.

Roomy, comfortable, and stylish apartment. Helpful host. Located overlooking the market, which is a great and not so good at the same time. It is fun being in the center of everything but it can be noisy. The bedroom in the back is very quiet and with the provided earplugs the front is ok too.

You get a small welcome package with salt, tea olive oil, and sugar There were only 4 coffee pods for a 3 nights stay for 2 people, and we couldn't find the same size at the store. There are no paper towels or pepper, and only one laundry detergent pod.

Great central location. Designer quality interior . Comfortable beds. High quality glassware,chinaware,kitchen equipments. Good lighting. Sergio who welcome us on arrival is very courteous . Hugh TV screen in living room.

A very lovely modern apartment with excellent amenities! The kitchen was fully equipped and the lounge area very comfortable (the huge flatscreen TV was a big plus). Bedrooms were large and well appointed with two small walk-in closets. Both bathrooms had extra- large showers. Our host was very acommodating and communicative. There had been a bathroom leak the day before but it was fixed and the bathroom re-cleaned immediately upon our arrival. There is a very large public parking lot (15 euros/day through a parking app) about half block from the appartment. (Ortigia requires a permit to park on the island but your host will fill you in on that). You'll need to negotiate the street market to enter the front door and there are three small flights of stairs from the ground floor to the unit.

The upside to the apartment is that your front door spills directly out into the fabulous Ortigia market. We looked forward every morning to stepping just outside for a fresh cappuccino, a croissant or other hardy fare. The downside to the apartment is that the market is right outside your door. Light sleepers should take the back bedroom as market set-up starts at 6:30am every day but Sunday. You'll hear a little activity to start but 8am seems to be when things start happening. The market closes at 4pm and that's when the city arrives to clean everthing. Again, noisy for about an hour but when they're gone it's sparkling clean. It was fun. I say roll with it. You're on holiday!!
