Private Jacuzzi & Pool, Elegant La Escondida 5BR

The property was as pictured-lovely, beds were very comfortable and the Holt staff very responsive. It was a great home to spend time with family and very near the center of San Miguel. We’ll definitley be back and have already booked for Later this year.

There’s nothing I didn’t like about the property, its more about minor feedback for management. Hot water was shut off before we arrived, while solved quickly, feels like somthing staff should precheck before arrivals. No visible directions to turn on jacuzzi or manage pool temp. Shower in main bedroom has color indicators for water temp, but colors are transposed. Toliet flush button in same room gets stuck. Contradicting info posted on door vs email manuel sent, door says quite hours start at 11pm, book says 10pm. Overall Nothing life shatterring, buy small details that in time should be addressed.

Clean, pool, neighborhood safe and secure, 2 car parking - , Spacious, lovely gardens, kitchen fully equipped, bar, pool area- beautiful outdoor and indoor dining tables- comfortable beds, response time to contact Holt was remarkable. Plenty of 2 ply toilet paper! Decorating was wonderful! Tiny bathroom but that was outweighed by beautiful home!

The pool was cold (it was supposed to have a heater) and no internet the first 24h. It stopped us from enjoying fully the property.

The location is in a suburban gated community about 15 minutes drive to the historic town center. It's very safe and quiet. There is a shuttle to the historic center. There are also two great grocery stores nearby

I was wary to book this place, because it was prepaid and non-refundable; it turns out my gut was right. After booking, "HOLT", the property management company, sent of a list of ridiculous rules, with associated fees for violating them. They also asked for a $200 refundable pet deposit and a $50 non-refundable pet fee. This is after advertising the place as pet-friendly and not having any additional fees for pets. Thankfully, with Booking.com's support, I was able to get them to waive this surprise fee. Our check in time was 3pm, we arrived at 4:15, and found that the cleaning staff was still there. They left without telling us that THE POWER WAS OUT. I informed HOLT immediately and they told us it's not their fault, but they would follow up with us. They never followed up and never even apologized. We later found out that the power had been out since 1pm in the gated community. The town and surrounding area did have power. We spent the night in the dark without being able to use AC, watch TV, use the internet, or charge our phones. The food and ice we brought didn't survive in the fridge/freezer. The next morning, the power was still out. We couldn't make coffee. I contacted HOLT again (Saturday morning) and they told us they couldn't refund us until the manager got back on Monday. We decided we were going to leave because we didn't see any indication that the power would be coming back. We packed our bags, and just as we were leaving, the power came back. We decided to stay for the remaining two days. On Monday, I followed up with HOLT about getting at least a partial refund for the first night. They kept telling me the manager was busy. After a lot of prodding, on Thursday, they told me they were not going to refund anything The pool was way too hot and there was dirt at the bottom The coffee maker didn't have a coffee pot (there was ground coffee and filters provided, but no way to actually use them).

It’s a beautiful property, the house is well equipped. A little hard to get the jacuzzi going but overall amazing stay.

The house is perfect for big groups, it's comfortable and makes you feel at home. The location is great, it's close enough to downtown but without the parking complications, the free shuttles to the center are very convenient too.

We loved the house! It's huge, the rooms were comfortable, and everything was clean. The area is great the community is quiet and there's security staff at the gate all day. We will be back!

The house is great, and the location is very convenient. It's an ideal home for a weekend break. We loved our stay in San Miguel, the HOLT staff was very attentive, and they gave us a digital guide with recommendations on what to do around, which was very helpful. I would stay here again.

The house is in a great location, the community is quiet and secure, and the shuttles to the center are very convenient. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the pool made it the perfect place for our family. The lady in the house was kind and the breakfast was delicious. Everything was great. Thanks!
