Portofino Island Resort 2-0601

Everything EXCEPT the condo. It was FILTHY, needs new paint and needs new carpet. Condo was the worst I’ve ever stayed in.

Amenities and location were great. We love the Portofino just hated our condo.

The resort itself was very nice. The accommodations the resort offers was great. The location was ideal for a beach getaway.

The room was run down and nasty for the price. Mold was growing in the washer, the floors needed mopping. The whole inside of the condo looked rough and used. The nastiest thing was the carpet in the rooms. Carpet is not beach and water friendly. For the money the condo should have been cleaner and had much neater appearance.

I loved that we really didn't have to leave the property for anything

The whole stay, it sounded like people moving furniture and running around all night on the floor above us. It was hard to sleep with that going on.

We enjoyed that boat for the tours and places to eat were right there at the facility. Also having access to the inlet for the kids when the gulf was to rough.

The beds at the room were a little uncomfortable. They seemed to be wore out.

Portofino resort property is beautiful. The condo has not been maintained. Have been vacationing at Portofino for 2 decades/many years and have never been in a three bedroom unit that has not been maintained like this unit. The carpets need to be removed and replaced. The kitchen dishes and utensils all need to be evaluated. The furniture needs to be maintained. The mattresses need to be replaced. I am not a complainer and generally satisfied, this unit should be reevaluated before being rented. Remove trash bag of old bedding from master closet. Empty all closets. This should be taken off market until maintained. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. The staff communications through rental company was excellent. The text and emails were very clear and informative. The maintenance man was very kind and checked in on 1st day when dropping off ice treys. Fridge ice maker appears to work but it leaks, may not want to leave running when unit is empty. The number 4 does not work on oven unit (requires some smart baking ;) ) Again, please deep clean kitchen and evaluate all cooking pots/pans and utensils. I deep cleaned the drawers and all cooking items. I’m not a complainer but want to make someone aware. Thank you!
