Villas by The Sea Three Bedroom Apartment

We did not have breakfast at the Villas.

We missed the Bistro. That was the one thing that kept us coming back to the Villas by the Sea. The atmosphere just wasn't as inviting.

During this stay, the cleanliness did not meet the standards I experienced during my previous visit. Unfortunately, I encountered several issues, including an excessive number of sewer bugs in the bathroom and other bugs throughout the apartment. Additionally, I was disappointed because the front desk was not able to assist but the clerk was extremely helpful. Because my reservation was made through a third-party site, I experienced a significant delay when seeking assistance, as staff were unable to help due to the booking method. This is the first time I’ve had this issue, even though I booked the exact same way last year. Based on this experience, I will avoid using third-party services for future bookings.

This would have been our 4th stay at this property. And we will not consider staying here again. The host did not respond to my request for refund/reschedule our trip, which was interrupted by Hurricane/Tropical Storm Idalia, which passed though this area late Wednesday. With two children and an elderly grandparent, we could not risk traveling 6 hours to a small/quiet island, with one bridge in/out. With cleanup crews and emergency vehicles, trees down, and power outages in the area, we did not feel comfortable making the trip. After cancellation request, they informed us that the property "could accommodate us", therefore no alternative options were provided, for a natural disaster/declared state of emergency. After speaking with a Red Awning customer service representative, saying "stay safe" at the conclusion of each call, made it impossible for me to determine that without driving 6 hours with family in tow. We will not be choosing this property or Booking.com again for our travels.

No breakfast & not many basic restaurants & only 1 fast food places nearby. Had to drive a good ways for franchised places to eat. Kids don’t like fancy seafood places with long wait times & hungry adults wonting something quick don’t either. Also to expensive to pay $10 each car to go out to eat & get back in. Pretty place but probably wouldn’t ever go back due to these reasons. Had to end up going to Walmart to get groceries & fix food at apartment due to those reasons and when I go on vacation I don’t won’t to have to cook ! Only thing I did like is that the island was pretty and beaches weren’t very crowded.

A lot ! Everything I’ve already mentioned about food, dirty accommodations & sand on beach was always wet with shells that will cut you open like a sharp knife

The villa was spacious with good views. Easy to access different beaches onthe island. Really good family vacation.
