Corallo Blu Hotel De Charme - Sea & Spa access

Location is great, under 10 min walk to the bus stop. I was in one of the older rooms, but it was still lovely. The single room was lovely, near the gate and had its own little alcove. Note that it is across the road from their sister hotel which has the private beach and spa facilities.

I had to unplug the fridge, which I told reception about, as it was very loud and also a fire hazard (extremely overheated and in a very small cupboard). Facilities in the sister hotel, which are advertised here, are a bit outdated, but I still enjoyed them! Note it's not adults only.

Hotel is near the beach. There is an access to small private beach (which gets way over crowded) via it's sister hotel across the road. Reception was helpful and let us check in a bit early. Grounds of the hotel is well maintained and it was nice to see some greenery although there was no garden and no real reason to wonder in the ground as the area was too small and didn't lead to anything interesting. The rooms looks like it's recently decorated. Shower pressure was excellent and there was a fridge in the room that can be used. WiFi coverage was good. Provision of breach/pool towel and a free flip flops was nice.

Access was poor. Really not a great idea to put gravelled pathways where suitcases may need to be carried. Aircon was weak and we were a little uncomfortable. Cleaning was ok but we found some hair from previous occupier in the shower and that didn't get cleaned for another day. On of the new towel had a dirt mark on it Door to room 74 didn't close fully - it will lock but still left a visible gap. Room 74's 'balcony' was in the public area opening into entrance to the building - you'd have to be devoid if any need of privacy to be able to use this balcony. The sound proofing was poor but as the hotel was not full, it was bearable. Room was on a small side but we only really used it for sleep, it was ok. If you have accessibility need, anything other than the main building would be impossible. Room 71 has an enclosed private terrace which was better (but edges are your only view) and I came back one day to find the door to the terrace fully open - I knew I locked it before I left and this was after the cleaners had been. Luckily nothing was stolen. Pool at the roof top was nice but very small (it'll fit max of 8 people) and want cleaned well - there were algae in the foot bath next to the pool. Some tables (despite no one else being there) had crumbs of food and I suspect it doesn't get cleaned often. Breakfast was the worst we've had in Italy - it'll probably pass in UK work mass produced sliced cheese, salami bread etc but I'd hope to be having something a bit nicer in an Italian island. This hotel was by far the most expensive in our trip and most disappointing.

Great place to stay

Breakfast was great, a little limited on savory choices but still good overall. Location for breakfast was stunning, overlooking the gardens.

No drink or tea and coffee facilities throughout the day. As a guest at times you felt marooned! This seems to be interrim however until more facilities are put in place.
