Gyeongju Hanokstay Darak

Was zoals op de fotos. Locatie was top. Bed was prettig dun maar fijn matras. Ervaring van slapen in een hanok op de grond droeg bij aan de trip van zuid korea.

Gehoorig maar had ik al gelezen in eerdere reviews. Prijs lag aanzienlijk hoger dan andere verblijven.

L’hanok in generale e la camera erano molto belli e spaziosi. La posizione della struttura è ottima.

Non abbiamo avuto asciugamani da doccia grandi.

First and foremost, we really liked the location of the property. The building itself is beautiful and has a lot of character. Although it is an older building and you can hear neighbours and other guests quite easily, it still had a pleasant atmosphere. The rooms were very spacious, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom had a minimalistic design, which was fine for us, although some of the finishing details could have been done better. The coffee station was a nice extra touch.

Upon arrival, it was also unclear whether we were at the correct location. The entrance instructions were not properly explained — you actually need to enter through the gate and go to the left side of the building. We left our luggage in the side house, but it did not feel very secure as anyone could enter. The area was not closed off for guests only and there was very little supervision or security. Communication was not great and it was difficult to contact someone, as everything was handled through WhatsApp. During our stay, we had an issue where the lights kept flickering on and off in the middle of the night, and apparently our neighbours in the building experienced the same problem. Since everything is controlled remotely and the lights were very high, we could not switch them off manually. We ended up having to sleep with sleeping masks, and only around 10 AM the next morning did the host respond to us. We tried calling as well... Tip: It would also be nice to make the lighting more cosy and warm. The main lights were very bright white lights, and there was only a very small bedside lamp available.
