Posada Independencia

Muy agradable y el desayuno increíble. El personal, muy gentil. Es un lugar céntrico y pet friendly. Sin embargo si hacía mucho calor un aire acondicionado le vendría muy bien a las habitaciones.

The place is super clean and well kept. The staff were about the most helpful and responsive as I’ve ever encountered while traveling. The first couple of nights were hot so we kept the windows open but the hotel is on a busy street, so we had trouble sleeping. I asked for an extra fan because the ceiling fan wasn’t enough, and they provided one immediately. I should have asked sooner! The manager was incredibly available on What’s App. He helped me arrange for taxis twice. They packed us something to eat when we had an early excursion. It’s a 20-minute walk to the historic center.

The Posada Independencia is located an easy walk to all the activities in Oaxaca. Traffic noise is loud at times. The hotel & grounds are a bit spartan, but very well maintained, clean and safe. It’s the little things that make a big difference; great breakfast, several drinking water dispensers.

The staff at the Posada is outstanding. The ladies that cook and clean are fabulous, they take very good care of the hotel guests. Hotel management is not always on site, however communication via WhatsApp was excellent. Edwin was on top of our every need, he helped us with taxi service, tours, check in & out and local events and attractions.

The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Posada Independencia was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the linens were lovely. They served a full breakfast daily that included fresh fruits and an egg dish that varied daily. We used their suggested contact to schedule tours and spent two amazing days seeing the incredible sights of Oaxaca outside of the city itself.

We had a room on the street and it was noisy at night. It’s about a 15-20 minutes walk to the center of Oxaca city.

Very nice breakfast and a super comfortable bed. Also enough space to hang the clothes.

Everything was real good

Staff were very responsive through WhatsApp and gave excellent instructions and directions to hotel :) would definitely recommend! Hotel is clean and comfortable and easy to check in/out.
